Overview
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Oklahoma City Area Office, The Mid Continent Exploration and Production Safety Network (MCEPS) and Francis Tuttle Technology Center, Rockwall, Oklahoma City Campus, (FTTC) recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. To that end, OSHA, MCEPs and FTTC hereby form an Alliance to provide MCEPS members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect the health and safety of workers, particularly by reducing and preventing exposure to occupational hazards, and understand the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act). In developing this Alliance, OSHA, MCEPS and FTTC recognize that OSHA's State Plan and On-site Consultation Project partners are an integral part of the OSHA national effort.

Evaluations
This alliance is a good means of documenting activities that help promote compliance with federal labor laws. Francis Tuttle Technology Center hosts the monthly MCEPS meetings for the Oil & Gas industry alliance and facilitates the meetings. They also are a source for training for emerging safety & health issues being experienced in the industry. Due to the low number of fatalities in the industry and the industry downturn in activity this past year there were no emerging issues identified for training, but there have been some identified currently in the new year and this relationship is important to maintain.
This alliance played a key role in providing stakeholders very informative information from five Department of Labor agencies this year in one location. This DOL forum training was accomplished with the assistance of Francis Tuttle Technology Center venue and training aids.
