    1. Date Signed

      2. August 12, 2010 and renewed on August 26, 2013, and September 4, 2015.

    3. Alliance Overview

      4. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Northwest Arkansas Workers Justice Center (NWAWJC) recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. OSHA and NWAWJC hereby form an Alliance to provide NWAWJC members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect workers health and safety, particularly in reducing and preventing exposure to struck-by, falls, chemical, ergonomic, sanitation, and electrical hazards in residential construction and poultry industries.

  2. Implementation Team Meetings

    3. Only a few meetings were held with the NWAWJC personnel this past year due to budget restrictions on personnel and travel. Most contact has been between AD Carlos Reynolds and Executive Director of NWAWJC, Magaly Licolli via e-mail.

  3. Activities, Events and Products

    4. November 2016, AD Carlos Reynolds provided various construction and poultry related OSHA publications in Spanish, along with discussing ways that OSHA and NWAWJC can work closer.

    May 2017, AD Carlos Reynolds provided, at NWAWJC request, the names of all persons who had died on the job, in observance of Worker Memorial Day.

    Training and Education

    None during the evaluation period.

    Outreach and Communication

    Distribution of OSHA Quick Cards and brochures related to construction and general industry including fall protection, poultry, and heat stress were delivered during the year.

    Promoting the National Dialogue on Workplace Safety and Health

    The Little Rock Area Office has provided to the Northwest Arkansas Workers Justice Center continuing support and information relevant to the National and Regional Emphasis Programs and local, regional, and national initiatives such as the temporary workers, heat stress, amputations, poultry, and fall prevention campaigns.

    Depending on area office schedules and travel capabilities, quarterly meetings will be held with Northwest Arkansas Worker Justice Center personnel during FY 2018. The Little Rock Area Office is still without a Compliance Assistance Specialist; therefore the Area Director will attend most meetings.
