    3. Overview

      Participants intend to establish a collaborative relationship to provide Mexican Nationals in Nebraska and Iowa and others information, guidance and access to education and training resources to promote workers' rights in protecting their occupational safety and health. Also to help them understand U.S. domestic law on the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act).

  2. Implementation Team Meetings

    The implementation team did not hold a meeting in the last year, but OSHA will reach out to the participants to try to reinvigorate this alliance. The Omaha Area Office has assigned a point of contact to this alliance since there is no Compliance Assistance Specialist in the Omaha Area Office. The Area Office is hoping that this one point of contact at OSHA will help reinvigorate the alliance.

    An outreach session was held as part of Labor Rights Week at the Mexican Consulate in Omaha on August 27, 2018.

  4. Evaluations

    This alliance was stagnant for this last year. The point of contact in the Omaha Area Office will make contact with the participants of this alliance in an attempt to energize the participants and generate interaction.

  5. Upcoming Milestones

    OSHA point of contact will contact the Mexican Consulate to plan an implementation meeting.
