Speaker Notes: Worker involvement in violence prevention is especially critical in the late-night retail setting. Front-line workers are often the most knowledgeable of business procedures and the business environment, especially when no manager is on duty.
Workers’ experiences can help to identify practical solutions to safety challenges. In addition, workers who are engaged in violence prevention programs are more likely to support them and ensure their effectiveness.
